The Buccaneers (16-6, 6-2 Region XIV) controlled the action from the outset, dominating the first quarter to the tune of a 24-3 cushion. Blinn led 42-11 at halftime and 53-16 heading into the fourth period.

"It was a good bounce-back win for us after our loss to Kilgore College on Saturday night," Bucs head coach Jeff Jenkins said. "All 11 of our players got to score and played plenty of minutes."

Freshman guards Elizabeth Walton and Wynter Jones had 15 and 11 points, respectively, while sophomore forward Jasmyn Jackson added 10. Freshman guard DJ Kincade tacked on eight points, freshman guard Jonesha Neal posted seven, and freshman forward Biva Bird finished with six.

Blinn returns to the court Saturday when it plays host to region foe and 13th-ranked Trinity Valley Community College at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Kruse Center in Brenham, Texas. The Bucs will be looking for a season sweep of the Cardinals after earning a 64-62 road win over their longtime rivals Jan. 10.

KWHI will have live coverage of the game on 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com.
