BURLESON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE IDs SHOOTER, VICTIM IN HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim killed and the deceased suspect in a homicide last week near Caldwell.
Officials responded just after noon on July 15th to the Cade Lakes subdivision following a report that a family member had been shot. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and was later found by deputies with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
According to Sergeant Randy Jackson, Public Information Officer with the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office, the female victim has been identified as 38-year-old Leticia Gaytan of Cade Lakes. The male suspect has been identified as 47-year-old Everardo Armenta, address unknown.
Both individuals were transported to the Burleson ER and pronounced dead.
Sgt. Jackson said the sheriff’s office continues to investigate with the assistance of the Texas Rangers.
