FORTNIGHTLY CLUB TO HOLD ANNUAL USED BOOK SALE NEXT WEEK
The Fortnightly Club of Brenham is all set for its annual Used Book Sale next week.
The sale will run from Monday to Saturday at the Washington County Expo’s commercial exhibits building, offering thousands of books, movies, vinyl records and CDs. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Lu Hollander of the Fortnightly Club, speaking during Tuesday’s Community Corner on KWHI, said there will be a vast selection of books available during the sale.
Admission is $10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday. Following that, entry is $1 for the remainder of the event. Parking is free, and there is no admission fee for children.
Hollander said proceeds from the sale will benefit the Fortnightly Club and its long-running efforts to support the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library.
