SMITHVILLE MAN ACCUSED OF ATTEMPTING TO ASSAULT WASHINGTON CO. DEPUTIES

  

A reported altercation with Washington County Sheriff’s deputies led to the arrest of a Smithville man on Sunday on numerous charges.

Around 3:45 p.m., deputies responded to a trespassing call in the 300 block of Walker League Lane.  

Once at the location, the sheriff’s office confirmed that an individual had an active criminal trespass warning for the location, and he was found in a small room on the property.  Additionally, deputies confirmed that the subject, identified as 64-year-old Kenneth Carl Bilski, had an active parole violation warrant. 

According to the sheriff’s office, Bilski resisted arrest but was restrained after a brief altercation.  He allegedly attempted to assault deputies again during medical clearance and at the Washington County Jail.

Bilski has been charged with two counts of Assault of a Public Servant – Criminal Attempt; Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport; Criminal Trespass; and a parole warrant for Driving While Intoxicated.
