LADY PANTHERS DROP DISTRICT OPENER TO MUMFORD 4-0

The Burton Lady Panther Softball Team dropped their District 26-2A opener to Mumford 4-0 last (Tuesday) night.

The Lady Mustangs took advantage of four Burton errors to score twice in the fourth inning and twice in the fifth inning.

Mumford's Emma Loehr went the distance, allowing just two hits, walking three, and striking out 20 Burton batters.

Burton's two hits came on singles by Reagan Roemer and Amaya Williams.

Bailey Glaesmann took the tough luck loss for the Lady Panthers. She went six innings, allowing two hits, four runs, none of which were earned, four walks, and struck out 15.

Next up, Burton will be taking part in the Weimar Tournament. The tournament opens tomorrow (Thursday) with the Lady Panthers facing East Bernard at 8am, followed by Rosebud-Lott at 11am.
