POSSIBLE HOMICIDE UNDER INVESTIGATION IN LEE CO.

  

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible homicide. 

According to a release from the sheriff’s office, dispatchers received a 911 call just before 10 a.m. Tuesday that reported a deceased person in the 1100 block of County Road 123, addressed in Ledbetter.

Patrol deputies responded to the location and found a male victim on a residential property with apparent gunshot wounds.  Sheriff’s investigators, the Precinct 2 Constable’s Office and the Texas Rangers arrived to further assess the scene.

The Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Office conducted an inquest, and the victim’s body was transferred to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office in Austin for an autopsy.  The victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending family notification.

Evidence was collected at the scene, but the identity of the suspect or suspects is currently unknown.
