UIL STATE GIRLS GOLF TOURNAMENT OPENS TODAY (MONDAY)

The UIL State Girls Golf Tournament will be played over the next two days at various courses around the Austin area.

District 21-5A is going to be well represented. Lake Creek and Montgomery are sending their full teams, while Madeline Buckley of Magnolia West is going as an individual medalist.

The Lake Creek team consists of Addie Surber, Sonja Tibbetts, Evangelina Stowers, Brooke Mills, and Kylie Ellegood.

Angie LeBeouf (RT-C)

The Montgomery team consists of Jordyn Herridge, Addison Payne, Ava Winfield, Carsyn Thomas, and Taren Suffield.

The Class 5A State Tournament is being held at the Legacy Hills Golf Course in Georgetown.

Meanwhile, Navasota's Natalie Nobles will be competing as an individual medalist at the 4A State Tournament at the Legends Golf Course in Kingsland.

Columbus is sending their full team to the 3A Tournament at the Shadow Glen Golf Course in Manor. The Lady Cardinal Team consists of Thea Schobel, Kambrie Toppel, Kerigan Faldyn, Katharine Burnett, and Madelyn Garcia.

Eva Shaw (Fayetteville)

At the 1A Tournament, which is being held at the Crystal Falls Golf Course in Leander, Angie LeBouef of Round Top-Carmine and Eva Shaw of Fayetteville are participating as individual medalists.

The tournaments start today (Monday) and run through tomorrow (Tuesday).
