OVER 660 VOTERS THROUGH TWO DAYS OF EARLY VOTING

Voting in the primary runoff election saw an increase in participation on its second day.

Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson reports that 358 people voted on Tuesday, including 350 Republicans and 8 Democrats.

After 307 people voted on Monday, that brings the total thus far to 665 total voters, made up of 648 Republicans and 17 Democrats.

This year’s turnout trails what was seen in the first two days of the May 2022 runoff, which drew 765 voters.

Early voting lasts through Friday at the Washington County Courthouse Annex, with hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.  Election Day is Tuesday.
