BRENHAM & BURTON TO HONOR GRADUATING SENIORS FRIDAY

  

Brenham and Burton students will mark the end of their high school careers tonight (Friday) as they look toward what comes next.

Brenham High School and Burton High School will host their graduation ceremonies tonight at 8 p.m. to celebrate the Class of 2024.  Brenham’s graduation will be held at Cub Stadium, while Burton’s will be at the Burton Cotton Gin Pavilion.

The graduating class of Brenham High School has 354 students, including 126 who are graduating with honors.  The top seniors are valedictorian Alex Dallmeyer, who attained a grade point average of 4.7566, and salutatorian Joshua Parker, whose GPA was 4.6538.

Burton High School has 31 graduating students, 13 with honors.  Leading the class are valedictorian Zane Aschenbeck, who earned a GPA of 3.99, and salutatorian Noelia Casas, with a GPA of 3.90.

KWHI will have live broadcasts of both ceremonies, with Brenham’s on AM 1280, FM 101.7, kwhi.com and the KWHI Facebook page.  Burton’s graduation will be broadcast via the alternate stream on kwhi.com and the KWHI phone app.
