NORTHBOUND CLOSURE ALONG AUSTIN STREET AT PARK STREET MAY 29-31
TxDOT will close the northbound lane of traffic along Austin Street at the intersection of Park Street in Brenham for several days next week.
The closure will begin on Wednesday, May 29th. The section of roadway is planned to reopen to thru traffic by Friday, May 31st.
TxDOT says the closure will allow contractors to repair pavement in the area.
Crews will have a signed detour in place to direct traffic to use Alamo Street, to Market Street, to Academy Street, then back onto Austin Street.
Drivers are advised to plan for extra travel time through the area or seek an alternate route.
Work is contracted to Ti-Zack Concrete, Inc. as part of a $1.55 million project that is expected to be complete by the end of 2024.
