EARLY VOTING IN PRIMARY RUN-OFF ELECTION COMES TO AN END

  

Friday’s final day of early voting for the runoff election was the highest so far for the week.

According to Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, 561 people voted on Friday, including 537 Republicans and 24 Democrats.

Through five days of early voting, the final total saw 1,949 ballots cast, consisting of 1,880 Republicans and 62 Democrats.

The most recent primary runoff, which was held in May 2022, had 2,142 ballots cast, which included 1,986 Republicans and 156 Democrats.

Election Day is this Tuesday. Polls will be open from 7am-7pm.

The Republican and Democrat Party County Chairs have agreed to 8 joint polling locations.
