Downtown Brenham took a step back Saturday night into a golden era of country music.

This summer’s first installment of “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” brought 90 PROOF Country to the stage.  The group, based out of Dallas-Fort Worth, had crowds dancing in the Commerce Street parking lot with the top hits of legendary country music artists from the 1990s.

Visitors were also able to check out the Stray Katz Car Club’s vehicle cruise-in while enjoying food and refreshments from local businesses and vendors.

The concert was sponsored by Upchurch & Yates LLP, Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Brenham National Bank and Seidel Schroeder.

Next up this Saturday will be the FlashPoint Band out of Houston, bringing a mix of classic rock, Motown and contemporary hits.  The performance will be sponsored by Blue Bell Creameries, Citizens State Bank, Strand Associates and Valmont Industries.
