CALDWELL’S JOHNSON CHOSEN FOR USA SOFTBALL ALL-AMERICAN GAMES

A tryout in Dallas led to a local youth being selected for the upcoming USA Softball All-American Games.

Caldwell Junior High School student Mesha Johnson was one of 14 players chosen for the Games out of 84 that participated in the tryout camp.

In addition to Caldwell Junior High, she also plays club ball for Bombers Gold National in Brenham, and the Caldwell Diamond Cutters.

Johnson will be playing for Team Freedom, which is out of Region 5. Region 5 is made up of Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.

The USA Softball All-American Games are being held August 8-11 in Oklahoma City.
