WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY

The Washington County Commissioners Court is scheduled to meet in special session to discuss multiple agenda items on Tuesday morning.

Among the items is to seek Requests for Qualifications for Professional Architectural Services at 2509 Highway 105 in Brenham. The location is the former ATS Irrigation Building, where the County is seeking to use for additional office space, records storage, and a centrally located network server room.

The plan is for the RFQ’s to be due by September 5 at 10am, and then awarded at the Commissioners’ meeting on September 10.

Another item is the approval of a Lease Agreement between Washington County and the City of Brenham for the 911 Communication Facility at 301 North Baylor Street. The City already approved their part of the agreement at a previous meeting.

Other action items include a merit pay increase for Jail Administrator Eric Hensley, reappointing Brenham Mayor Atwood Kenjura to the Brazos Valley Council of Governments Board of Directors, purchasing ClearGov Budgeting Software for the Auditor’s Department, and approving the Washington County Social Media Policy.

The Commissioners will also hear a quarterly update on Economic Development, as well as quarterly reports from Washington County 911, and the County Human Resources Department.

The Washington County Commissioners Court meets Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
