BRENHAM POLICE ARREST THREE FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION

  

Three people face public intoxication charges after their arrest on Monday by the Brenham Police Department.

At 3:15 p.m., Officer Garrett Downs was dispatched to the 2100 block of South Market Street regarding an intoxicated person.  After an investigation, 33-year-old Jorge Galarza out of Mexico was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for Public Intoxication.

At 10:15 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Riggs Street in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, they reported finding 44-year-old Michael Leroy Hooper of Brenham in the roadway.  Hooper was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.

At 11:15 p.m., Sergeant Jose Perez responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 East for a report of a disturbance.  Police say their investigation revealed that 33-year-old Samantha Phoenix of Brenham was highly intoxicated.  Phoenix was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail.  There, she was booked in for Public Intoxication, as well as two counts of Harassment of a Public Servant.
