BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET TUESDAY

  

The Burton City Council will be discussing water and wastewater when they hold their next regular meeting on Tuesday night.

The Council has multiple agenda items regarding the improvement of their water and wastewater treatment.

One of those items is to approve using $25,000 of savings to abandon and plug Water Well #3.

They are also scheduled to rescind a resolution authorizing the submission of a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program for Drainage Improvement Projects.

Council members are then expected to approve a resolution authorizing the submission of a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program for Wastewater Improvement and Drainage Improvement Projects.

They are also scheduled to rescind the July 2024 motion to approve Strand Associates for Engineering Services for the City of Burton 2025 Texas Water Development Board’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Project.

The Council will then vote on authorizing the mayor to enter negotiations with BEFCO Engineering regarding the project.

The Burton City Council meets Tuesday at 5:30pm at the Burton City Hall.
