COLUMBUS QB SCHOBEL HONORED AS “MR. TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL”
Following an amazing season where he led the Columbus Cardinals to their first ever State Football Championship, QB Adam Schobel has received special recognition from Texas High School's most famous publication.
Dave Campbell's Texas Football announced that Schobel was chosen as "Mr. Texas High School Football." The award goes annually to the most outstanding player in Texas High School Football for the year.
This past season for the Cardinals, Schobel completed 74% of his passes for 3,734 yards. He also threw for 55 touchdowns to just three interceptions.
Schobel also rushed for 575 yards and another 13 touchdowns.
He has signed a letter of intent to college football with TCU.
Schobel will be honored during halftime of the Texas Bowl on New Year's Eve in Houston.
