BRENHAM PD REPORTS TUESDAY ARRESTS FOR CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, DWI
Brenham police arrested two people on Tuesday, one on a charge of criminal mischief and the other for driving while intoxicated.
At 3 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at Super 8 in the 2200 block of Highway 290 East. Upon arrival, investigation revealed that 39-year-old Lakenya Dearman of Houston allegedly damaged both front entrance glass doors. Dearman was placed into custody for Criminal Mischief $750 - $2,500 and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
Close to 9:45 p.m., Officer Garrett Downs responded to a reckless driving call and located the vehicle in the 900 block of South Market Street. According to police, investigation determined that the driver, 17-year-old Sophia Rodriguez of Brenham, was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Rodriguez was placed into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated.
