LIFETIME LEARNING LUNCHEON TO COVER ARCHEOLOGICAL WORK ONGOING AT WASHINGTON-ON-THE-BRAZOS
Lifetime Learning Brenham’s next program will unearth some of the secrets at the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site.
Historic Site Manager Jonathan Failor will speak at a luncheon on Friday, May 16th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cannery Kitchen, 314 East Alamo Street in Brenham.
Failor will discuss the archeological work being done at Washington-on-the-Brazos as part of a $41 million renovation project. The work is funded through appropriations by the Texas Legislature.
Failor has been in the public history field since 2002. He joined the staff at Washington-on-the-Brazos in 2012 and was promoted to superintendent in 2018.
