WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TABLE HIRING RECRUITER FOR 911 COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Washington County Commissioners decided to hold off today (Tuesday) on hiring a firm to recruit for a new head of the county’s emergency dispatch department.
Commissioners moved to table a proposal from Strategic Government Resources (SGR) for executive recruitment services for the position of 911 Communications Director.
Commissioner Kirk Hanath said the item is being tabled to allow the county auditor to have time to get back with SGR on some needed adjustments and corrections. He said the court should have the updated proposal “hopefully before next week.”
The county’s emergency dispatch department has been led on an interim basis by Jerod Hartfield since the fall, following the resignations of former director Robyn Hood and former operations manager Shannon Selden.
Hanath thanked dispatch and local public safety agencies for their patience and understanding as the county works through this process, and that he has been glad to get their input on ways to make improvements for all departments.
Also today, the court heard the EMS Department’s quarterly report and approved an expedited development agreement with TimeClock Plus, LLC, who the county subscribes to for timekeeping software. The agreement corrects an issue with the original contract regarding services provided.
