The adoption center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for free adoptions, vendors, giveaways, appearances from the Brenham Fire and Police Departments, and kids’ activities.  This year marks the return of the large adoption event, after last year’s had to be cancelled.

Animal Services Specialist Morgan Patton, speaking during last week’s Community Corner on KWHI, says over 100 dogs and cats at the adoption center are ready to find new homes.

All animals available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, and are microchipped.  Outside of tomorrow’s event, the adoption center has $50 adoptions throughout the month of August.

For anyone who is not certain if they are ready to adopt, the shelter offers the ability to foster a pet, as well as various volunteer opportunities.

Donations are also welcome and can include either financial contributions or items like durable toys, canned puppy or kitten food, collars and leashes, towels, blankets and cleaning products.

All pets available for adoption can be found at www.petfinder.com

KTEX-106’s Eilish will be at Clear the Shelters tomorrow, broadcasting live from the KTEX Country Cruiser with the Wagon Wheel of Prizes.
