CUBETTES WIN 5TH IN A ROW WITH SWEEP OVER KINGWOOD

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team picked up their fifth straight win with a 3-0 sweep over Kingwood on Friday night at the Brenham High School Gym.

Brenham won the sets 25-13, 25-22, and 25-18.

Antyiahna Lang led the offense with 14 kills. Hannah Bush added 11 kills and eight digs.

Brinley Benson dished out 21 assists. Swayzee Huckert finished with four aces.

Logan Hayslip led the defense with nine digs, while Zoe Zwerneman was right behind her with eight digs.

The win improves the Cubettes to 19-10 on the season.

Prior to the match, a pair of players were recognized. Logan Hayslip recently picked up her 1,000th career dig and her 100th career ace. Zoe Zwerneman picked up her 500th career dig and her 100th career ace.

Next up, Brenham opens up district play tomorrow (Tuesday) night. They will host Lake Creek at 6pm at the Brenham High School Gym.
