FORMER BRENHAM POLICE OFFICER TINA BRUNO SWORN IN AS NEW DPS TROOPER
A former member of the Brenham Police Department is joining the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Tina Bruno is a member of last week’s graduating class of 104 new Highway Patrol Troopers, following their completion of the 14-week DPS Training Academy. Her fellow recruits, which are part of Class B-2025, make up DPS’ 179th graduating class.
Bruno first joined the Brenham Police Department in July 2019 and reached the rank of corporal. She was recognized earlier this year by the department as its Officer of the Year.
Bruno is one of two graduates from Brenham in the new class of recruits, the other being former Washington County Game Warden Kyle Yoder.
DPS says newly commissioned Troopers will report to their duty stations across the state on September 28th.
