SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARREST FOR DWI WARRANT, ASSAULT

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests between Tuesday and Wednesday.

At 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sergeant Adam Zavala conducted a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Highway 290 West for a moving violation.  The driver, 29-year-old Phillip Michael Wagner of Giddings, showed to have an active warrant in Lee County.  After the sheriff’s office confirmed the warrant, Wagner was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated 2^nd.

Just past 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Deputy Matthew Presswood was dispatched to the 1100 block of Pledger Road in reference to a possible crash.  Once there, the sheriff’s office determined a physical altercation had occurred between two roommates.  Upon further investigation, 30-year-old Jason Lee Montgomery of Brenham was taken into custody.  He was booked at the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
