UIL ANNOUNCES DISTRICT REALIGNMENTS FOR 2026-2028
The University Interscholastic League has announced the District Realignments for the 2026-2028 two-year period.
For the Brenham Cub Football Team, the only thing that is changing is the district number. They will now be playing in District 8-5A, Division II. However, they will keep the same district opponents Belton, Bryan Rudder, Killeen Ellison, Waco, and Waco University.
The Cubette Volleyball team and both basketball teams will remain in District 17-5A with Bryan Rudder, College Station, A&M Consolidated, Huntsville, Montgomery, Lake Creek, and they are adding Lufkin.
The Burton Panthers are going to be playing football in District 13-2A Division II, but with a slightly different look. Their district opponents are now Bartlett, Bremond, Chilton, Holland, Milano, Snook, and Somerville.
In volleyball, the Lady Panthers will play in District 25-2A along with Hearne, Milano, Mumford, Snook, and Somerville.
In basketball, Burton is in District 26-2A along with Hearne, Iola, Mumford, Normangee, Snook, and Somerville.
AREA TEAMS:
In District 12-6A, for all sports, it's Bryan, Copperas Cove, Killeen Chaparral, Harker Heights, Lake Belton, Temple, and Waco Midway.
In District, 23-6A, for all sports, it's Waller, Bridgeland, Cy Park, Cy Ranch, Cy Springs, Lamar Fulshear, Richmond Foster, and George Ranch.
For Football in Class 4A Division I, District 11 will consist of Bay City, El Campo, Navasota, Needville, Brookshire Royal, Sealy, and West Columbia,
For Football in Class 4A Division II, District 12 will consist of Bellville, Brazosport, Hitchcock, Katy Harmony, La Grange, and La Marque.
For Football in Class 4A Division II, District 14 will consist of Austin Achieve, Austin Eastside, Giddings, Lago Vista, Manor New Tech, and Wimberly.
For Volleyball and Basketball, in District 23-4A, included in the district are Bellville, Giddings, Katy Harmony, La Grange, Navasota, Brookshire Royal, Sealy, and Tomball West.
For Football in Class 3A Division I, District 11, it will be Columbus, Edna, Hempstead, Palacios, Sweeny, and Wharton
In Football Class 3A Division I, District 12, it will be Caldwell, Cameron Yoe, Franklin, Little River Academy, Lorena, McGregor, Rockdale, and Troy.
For Football Class 3A Division II, District 13, it will be Anderson-Shiro, Florence, Lexington, Rogers, Schulenburg, and Thrall.
In Football Class 3A Division II, District 14, it will be Brazos Wallis, Rice Consolidated, Boling, East Bernard, Tidehaven, Van Vleck, and Industrial.
For Basketball and Volleyball, District 19-3A, it will be Caldwell, Cameron Yoe, Franklin, Lexington, Little River Academy, Rockdale, Rogers, and Thrall
For Basketball District 20-3A, Anderson-Shiro is grouped in with Cleveland-Tarkington, Coldspring-Oakhurst, Crockett, New Waverly, Onalaska, and Trinity.
Basketball District 23-3A will consist of Columbus, Hempstead, Brazos Wallis, Rice Consolidated, East Bernard, Schulenburg, and Smithville.
For Volleyball District 20-3A, it is going to be Anderson-Shiro, Coldspring-Oakhurst, Crockett, New Waverly, Onalaska, and Trinity.
For Volleyball District 23-3A, it is Rice Consolidated, Columbus, East Bernard, Hallettsville, Hempstead, Schulenburg, Smithville, and Brazos Wallis,
In Class 2A Division I, for Football, Iola will be in District 14 with Centerville, Corrigan-Camden, Groveton, Leon, Lovelady, and Normangee.
For Volleyball, Iola will be in District 22-2A with Centerville, Leon, Lovelady, and Normangee.
In Class 1A Volleyball, District 26 will consist of Buckholts, Calvert, Dime Box, and North Zulch.
District 27-A is going to have Fayetteville, Prairie Lea, Round Top-Carmine, and Waelder.
For basketball, District 29-A is going to have Buckholts, Calvert, Dime Box, Fayetteville, North Zulch, Richards, and Round Top-Carmine.
