BRENHAM’S KUNKEL ENDS HER RUN AT STATE GOLF TOURNAMENT WITH A 76
Brenham's Raylea Kunkel wrapped up her sophomore season of high school golf with her second straight trip to the State Tournament in Georgetown.
After shooting an 80 on the first day yesterday (Monday), Kunkel shaved four strokes off of her score, and finished the second round earlier today (Tuesday) with a 76.
She finished with a two-day score of 156.
The score placed her 27th out of the 72 golfers competing in the Class 5A Tournament.
Kunkel had advanced to State after placing fifth at the District Tournament and third at the Regional Tournament.
