BRENHAM FD CALLED OUT FOR ELECTRICAL SMELL PROMPTED BY STORM

  

The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice between Sunday and early this (Monday) morning.

Shortly before 3:15 p.m. Sunday, units were dispatched to a crash with possible entrapment in the 8600 block of FM 332.  However, they were cancelled upon arriving on scene, and they returned to service.

Approaching 1:15 a.m. today, personnel responded to a reported structure fire at a home in the 1800 block of Shady Lane.  They found a single-story structure with nothing showing.  They later discovered that the electrical service to the house was hit by a tree limb from the storm that blew in, causing the smell inside the structure.  All units cleared the call.
