CITY OF BRENHAM ISSUES $1.49 MILLION IN MAY BUILDING PERMITS
The City of Brenham granted $1,499,020 in building permits during the month of May.

Much of that total came from new residential development, with seven permits for new homes totaling $891,833. The largest individual permit of the month was for $170,208, issued to Stylecraft Builders for a home on Lake Ridge Drive.
Other notable permits issued last month were for $143,363, issued to Shoa Abedi for interior remodeling at 2636 Highway 36 South in the Bluebonnet Shopping Center, and for $100,000, going to Select Furnishings to add a new parking lot at the business at 1900 Highway 290 West.
In total, the 19 permits for $1,499,020 last month fall below the city’s numbers from May 2025, which saw 62 permits worth $4,987,905.
So far this year, the city has issued 166 permits for $64,834,951. In comparison, through this time a year ago, the city had issued 178 permits for $35,556,684.
