Dawn Compton, the founder of The Blessing Box Project, posted a notice on social media that the trailer she uses as part of her work to assist breast cancer patients has been stolen.  The Blessing Box Project sends special pillows and care packages for free to women who have had mastectomies.

According to Compton, the Sooner 4-horse aluminum trailer was parked in the parking lot at the Bellville Church of Christ, 817 East Wendt Street.  She believes the trailer may have been taken between Monday, June 8th and Thursday, June 11th, and she reports it has been spotted in Houston.

Bellville Police Sergeant Cliff Burton is leading the investigation on the case.  He says the department is working through the initial leads it has received and is being assisted by special agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Anyone with information on where the trailer might be located is asked to contact the Bellville Police Department at 979-865-3122 or Sgt. Burton at 979-274-2166 or cburton@bellvillepd.org.
