LOCAL OFFICES TO CLOSE FRIDAY FOR FOURTH OF JULY
City of Brenham and Washington County offices will be closed on Friday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
Closures will include Brenham City Hall, Brenham Municipal Court, Brenham Animal Services and all Washington County facilities.
The Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday.
The Brenham Washington County Visitor Center will be open on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All pools at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center will also be open with hours of 1 to 5 p.m.
While the Collection/Transfer and Recycling Station will be closed on Friday and Saturday, residential and commercial trash pick-up will continue as normal.
The offices of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will be closed on Friday. Bluebonnet members can check their account information and make payments by going to https://bluebonnet.coop, using the MyBluebonnet mobile app or calling 800-842-7708. Power outages can be reported through the website or mobile app, calling 800-949-4414 or texting OUT to 85700 through Bluebonnet Outage Alerts.
The City of Brenham reminds residents of the city’s ordinance prohibiting the shooting of fireworks within city limits. It also encourages safety when celebrating the holiday and to always have a water source nearby when barbecuing or using a fire pit.
