BRENHAM’S JOZWIAK HEADING TO HOUSTON MEMORIAL
Former Brenham Cub player and Assistant Baseball Coach Cullen Jozwiak is joining a new program for the upcoming school year.
Jozwiak has been hired as an assistant baseball coach for the Houston Memorial Mustangs.
Memorial is coming off a big season, which saw them go 34-8 overall, and won their district with a 13-1 record.
They ended up losing to Tomball in the 6A Division II State Championship Game.
Jozwiak played his high school baseball for the Brenham Cubs where he was an All-District, All-Brazos Valley, and Greater Houston Area All-Star Shortstop.
He later went on to play college baseball for the Blinn Buccaneers and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
Jozwiak had been an assistant coach at Brenham under Head Coach Chase Wheaton, who announced his departure in May to take the coaching job at Clear Falls.
This past season, he helped guide the Cubs to a district championship, and they went two rounds deep in the playoffs.
