BRENHAM CUB BAND, CHOIR STUDENTS SHARE TALENTS ON EUROPE TOUR

  

Eleven students from the Brenham High School band and choir are on an overseas trip, sharing their music across the globe.

The local students are among approximately 130 who were nominated to be a part of the Musical Horizons International Star of Southeast Texas band and choir.  The students were nominated for the experience based upon their musical and personal excellence and their leadership.

The group has performed a concert in Windsor in front of the castle.  It will continue its tour with performances in Paris, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. 

Brenham band students on the trip include Takumi Yamasaki, Fabian Lopez, Juliet Martinez, Chance Dyer, Rhyan Jenkins, Kyle Simms, Josiah Johnston, Silas Rosenbaum, Cade Schroeder and Carter Canales.  Representing the Brenham choir is Lucy Nienstedt. 

Additionally, Brenham High School band directors are serving as staff members on the trip, and several family members have had the opportunity to travel along in support. 

The trip is not school-affiliated, but Brenham ISD says it is proud to have these students representing Brenham and is excited to see them share their talents on an international stage.
