BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA WARRANT
Brenham police arrested two people on Thursday, one for a drug paraphernalia warrant and another for aggravated assault.

Just before 9:30 a.m., Officer LeDarion Jenkins was dispatched to the 1200 block of Old Independence Road in reference to a warrant service. 32-year-old Quincy Taylor Harris of Katy was arrested by a neighboring county and showed to have a municipal warrant out of Brenham for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Harris was served on his warrant.

At 11:15 p.m., Officer Navone Gurley, Officer Darrell Nunn Jr. and Sergeant Crystal Buckner responded to a weapon-involved situation with a knife in the 2400 block of South Chappell Hill Street. 39-year-old Michael Anthony Chalfant of Brenham was arrested for Aggravated Assault of a Family/Date/Household Member with a Weapon. Police say no one was injured.
