SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, WARRANTS

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office made three arrests between Friday and Saturday.

Around 10 a.m. Friday, Deputy Carson Holton responded to the 100 block of Main Street in Brenham for a warrant service.  19-year-old Deedrick Gerard Reese Jr. of Brenham was arrested without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Motion to Revoke Probation – Evading Arrest/Detention.

Coming up on 1:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 300 block of New Wehdem Road in reference to a subject wanted by the Waller County Sheriff’s Office.  47-year-old Juan Lopez Zapata of Brenham was taken into custody.  During a search, the sheriff’s office says a meth pipe was found.  Zapata was transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and his Waller County warrant of Failure to Appear – Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram.

Shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday, Deputy Jacob Faske conducted a traffic stop near FM 2447 and Spencer Road on a vehicle being operated by an individual with active warrants.  Upon contact, the sheriff’s office says a strong odor of marijuana was detected.  A search of the vehicle led to the reported discovery of marijuana.  19-year-old Elijah Jamaar Green of Washington was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle, Evading Arrest/Detention, Retaliation or Obstruction, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
