BLINN STUDENT ARRESTED ON GUN CHARGE

  

A Blinn student has been arrested after police a gun was found in his on-campus dorm room.

Blinn Police say they received a call Wednesday morning about a person with a gun at Solons Hall.

Officers went to the dorm, and a short time later arrested 20-year-old Richard Alexander Endell, after he was found carrying a 9-milimeter handgun.

Endell was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon in a prohibited place, a third-degree felony.  His bond has been set at $5,000.

Authorities said that while handguns are not banned from Blinn’s dormitories, Endell did not have a concealed handgun license.

Individuals without concealed handgun licenses are not allowed to carry firearms on campus.
