PAIR OF ROBBERIES UNDER INVESTIGATION IN BRENHAM

  

Brenham Police are investigating a pair of robberies that occurred this (Tuesday) morning at the Lowe’s and Home Depot stores.

At about 11:30 a.m., officers responded to Lowe’s on Highway 36 South, in reference to a robbery that had just occurred.  Police learned that a black male in his mid-thirties had handed a store clerk in the garden center a note.

The note read he had a gun, and that he demanded cash from the register.  The suspect then left the store on foot, towards the Los Cabos restaurant.

While officers were gathering information for the report, Home Depot called in to report that a male had robbed their garden center cash register.  Police responded to the store on Wood Ridge Boulevard, and discovered it was the same male that had robbed Lowe’s, in the same manner.

The suspect was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash at both stores.  At no time did the suspect actually display a firearm.
