BRENHAM, AREA FIRE DEPARTMENTS EXTINGUISH HOUSE FIRE OFF HIGHWAY 36
Several fire departments were called to put out a fire at an old house in Brenham this weekend.
The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon, to reports of a structure fire at 1351 Union Lane, off of Highway 36.
When units arrived, they discovered a house that was being torn down fully engulfed in fire. According to the BFD, the owner was burning debris when the fire spread to a small part of the house that was still standing.
Units from the Brenham, Berlin, and Gay Hill Fire Departments extinguished the fire. Officials say no one was living at the home, and no one was injured.
