CUBETTES TO FACE KINGWOOD PARK IN SOCCER PLAYOFFS

The Brenham Cubette soccer team makes its return to the playoffs, Friday night.

The Cubettes (13-6-6/6-4-4) will face Kingwood Park (21-1-2/15-0-1) in the Bi-District round of the Region III/5A Playoffs.

Brenham finished district 19/5A play with a flourish, winning four and tying one in their last five games to take the fourth-and-final playoff berth.  The regular season concluded with a 3-1 winner-take-all victory over Magnolia West.

The Cubettes will square-off with perennial powerhouse Kingwood Park.  The Lady Panthers are currently ranked #5 in the Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A Soccer poll.

The game is set for Friday night at 7:00 at Montgomery High School Stadium.

The winner will face the winner of the Bi-District contest between Elgin and Cedar Park.
