BRENHAM H.S. BANDS PERFORM, TAKE HOME AWARDS AT REGION UIL CONCERT
Each of the three Brenham High School bands earned high ratings at Thursday’s Region UIL concert.
Concert II earned an excellent, or division II, rating on the stage and in sight reading. Symphonic and Concert I both earned superior, or division I, ratings on the stage and in sight reading.
The superiors in concert and sight reading combined with the first division marching rating from this fall earn the band another sweepstakes award for the 2018 and 2019 school year.
According to Band Director Eric Rettig, the judges gave very complimentary critiques of all three bands.
Now that UIL is over, the bands will start preparing for their spring concert at the Festival Institute in Round Top. The concert is set for Thursday, May 9th.
