Former citizen from outside looking in. What is sad about this situation is that a town of 10,000 citizens, only 1500 decided on the seats.
its burton they are all so noisy, they probably finger printed the ballots to see who voted!!!
It is a SHAME – A REAL SHAME, it took BURTON 4 hours + ?? minutes to count 500+/- votes!!!!! You should be ASHAMED of your crew! Regardless of the outcome, you owe the taxpayers a real explanation!
There are surrounding counties / cities that held elections no different from the ones in Burton and some of those had 1500+/- votes to count and had results posted within 1 hour at most!
This is preposterous! Someone needs to go!
What does it matter…… The votes get counted and posted. Doesn’t matter how long it takes.. Ever heard of measure twice, cut once…
I’m not surprised it took that long.
The truth is given the issues, misinformation, controversies, etc. going on in Burton ISD since last year they are going to make absolutely sure that it’s correct.
What you should be asking yourself is do you want correct now or someone spending all sorts of taxpayer money demanding more and more recounts because of said issues?
Thank the Lord Mayor Tate won, but now we have Morgan’s hairdresser on council seat. A name wins the seat against an excellent councilman.
When, in the history of ever, does a person decide their vote, based on who does the candidates hair? That’s an absurd statement.
Thank you, Councilwoman Saunders! You will be an asset to the community! I am sure your business professionalism and new appearance will be beneficial to the mayor and council.
Thank you very much!
Well if you would like to take the truth I have never had the opportunity to do Mrs. Morgan’s hair. We always welcome new clients at our salon!
Takes a long time for Burton to count…. they can’t have more voters than these other cities!!! Geez! ??
