Over 50 floats passed down Main Street in downtown Brenham Sunday to wrap up the 129^th Maifest.

Everyone had something to enjoy in this year’s parade, from floats carrying swashbucklers and knights with swords, to classic cars and hot rods, to ice cream floats.

Junior and Senior Maifest royalty stood atop beautiful floats matching their court themes of “Once Upon a Storytime” and “Glamour in the Great Outdoors”.

In addition to the dozens of floats passing through Brenham, local officials and volunteer fire departments showed their support for Maifest, along with the Shriners and marching bands from Brenham and Burton high schools and Blinn College.

The parade closed a weekend of festivities as part of the 129^th Maifest. Thousands made their way out to the Maifestival grounds at Fireman’s Park over the weekend to enjoy German music and folk dancing, beer tastings, children’s activities, live country music, games and carnival rides.
