POLICE FIND SKIMMERS AT BRYAN GAS STATION
Authorities have found more credit card skimmers, this time at a gas station in Bryan.
According to Bryan police, two skimming devices were found Monday morning at the Valero gas station in the 4600 block of East 29th Street. Police say the devices were placed between closing Sunday night and Monday morning.
Skimmers, which are small devices placed inside gas pumps to illegally obtain credit or debit card information, have recently been reported statewide and locally, with several found in Brenham in May.
The safest way for people to protect their cards from being skimmed is to either use those cards inside the store, or pay with cash.
People are encouraged to keep an eye on their accounts for any unauthorized charges, and to make a report if they suspect fraudulent activity.
