RED STEAGALL TO STAR IN COWBOY CELEBRATION AT BARNHILL CENTER

An upcoming show at the Barnhill Center in Brenham will look to honor cowboy traditions.
Red Steagall and The Boys in the Bunkhouse will perform Saturday, February 1st, in a celebration that will also include a chuckwagon dinner by Jimmy Detro’s Cowboy Cookers, and a historical gunfight show by the Brenham Bandits.

Steagall is best known for his popular Texas Swing music, much of which he wrote. Over 200 of his original songs have been recorded by himself and other artists. He recorded 26 consecutive singles that appeared on the national charts, and he has released 24 albums. He has entertained around the world, including heads of state and a performance for President Ronald Reagan at the White House.
For his musical accomplishments, Steagall was inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. He was also inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2004 for his ranching and cultural achievements.
