BENEFIT FOR LAVERNE KRUMREY’S CANCER MEDICAL EXPENSES MONDAY IN BRENHAM
The public is invited next week to provide a helping hand to a longtime contributor in the Washington County community who is currently battling cancer.
Monday, a fundraiser for LaVerne Krumrey will be held at the Fireman’s Training Center in Brenham from 4 to 7 p.m. Dine-in or drive-thru roast beef plates will be served, catered by the Kenney Store, and there will be a silent auction. There will also be a bucket drawing, and entertainment will be provided by Trail Boss Troy.
Debra Leroy Wenckens and Linda Pitts, friends of Krumrey who have contributed alongside her in many of her charitable efforts, say members of the Washington County Lady Lions and Brenham Elks Lodge partnered to host the event. They said they wanted to give back to Krumrey for all the things she has done for the community.
All proceeds from the benefit will go to help offset Krumrey’s recent medical expenses.
Meal tickets are sold out, but drawing tickets are still available at the Brenham Elks Lodge, or from any Elks Lodge member. They are also available by calling Sheri McCord at 979-277-4479, or Bev Vesper at 979-661-5109.
