Original story @ 8:12 a.m.: Governor Greg Abbott is expected to announce further details on the state’s plans for reopening in phases at a press conference this (Monday) afternoon.

Abbott is scheduled to discuss how the state’s restrictions on businesses will be lifted, as well as announce additional openings. He is also expected to address what will happen when the statewide stay-at-home order expires Thursday.
Last week, Abbott asked for ideas to bring in front of his newly assembled strike force team for recommendations on how the state should reopen. The state recently reopened state parks for day use, relaxed restrictions on surgeries and elective procedures, and allowed retailers to provide goods via a “retail-to-go” model.
The governor’s press conference is set for this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. It will be available through various online outlets.
