Tahviya Phillips tries out the drivers seat of the new trash and recycling truck.

 

The winner of the Brazos Valley Waste & Recycling Super Hero drawing contest was announced this (Friday) morning.  Tahviya Phillips, a 5th grader at Brenham Middle School received the honor of having her drawing displayed on the side of one of the city’s new trash and recycling trucks.  Tahviya also received a check for $250 from Brazos Valley Waste & Recycling.  Brenham Middle School also received a $250 donation for her efforts.  Brazos Valley Waste & Recycling will begin using the new truck Monday when they begin picking up Brenham’s trash and recycling.
