Brad Stafford was elected by his peers to a one-year term as the 97th president of TCMA, the second City Manager ever elected from the City of Navasota.  R.J. Brule was TCMA President in 1938.

Stafford, who was appointed as Navasota City Manager in 2006, said his initiative for his presidency is “leading with integrity while mentoring future leaders for Texas cities”.  His time of service began Monday.

Stafford said TCMA is defined as an organization of local government professionals who work to promote “the highest standards of governance, service, leadership, ethics, and education while embracing individual and regional diversity” benefitting members and the cities of Texas.

Prior to serving in Navasota, Stafford began his municipal career with the City of Morton, serving there seven years before moving to the City of Sundown to serve as City Administrator for nine years.
