HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO PLANS TO RETURN IN MAY 2021
Officials with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo have announced plans for a May 2021 return.
After most of the 2020 show was canceled due to COVID-19, officials are planning on a return, May 4-23. That date is subject to change depending on the COVID-19 health status.
Rodeo Houston competitions, concerts and entertainment, carnival and other attractions are now scheduled for the new May date. The Junior Livestock and Horse Show competitions will still be held in March, as previously announced.
Other events that historically lead up to the rodeo will be held in conjunction with the May Rodeo, including: The Downtown Rodeo Parade, Rodeo Run, Trail Ride activities, the Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup & Best Bites Competition, and the World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest. Details for these events will be announced once they are available.
Health and safety guidelines will be announced by early March.
