A Houston-based developer is expanding its plans for a mixed-use development under construction in Waller.

Wolff Companies has acquired an additional 43 acres of land located at the northeast corner of James R. Muse Parkway and Highway 290, just west of its Beacon Hill development.  The acquisition expands the master-planned environment to 564 acres from the original 521 acres.

The development, located north of Highway 290 between James R. Muse Parkway and FM 362, will feature a business park on the 251 acres next to the freeway.  The northern 270 acres will be developed by Long Lake Ltd. as a residential community featuring approximately 870 homes.

Wolff Companies Chairman and President David Wolff said the property’s location and proximity to Beacon Hill, along with the resulting access to utilities, will “allow for a variety of potential uses, including retail, light industrial and flex space.”  He said the company sees the property as “a natural extension” of the Beacon Hill project.

Homes are expected to range from the low $200,000s to the mid-$400,000s.  Model homes are now under construction, and are expected to open in June.

  1. Would love to see this here in Brenham, Business mixed with affordable houses, Looks like the Shopping center that was proposed is never going to happen here, Waller is not far away so once its finished I will have to travel there to do my shopping, There really is not much left here in Brenham as far as places to shop are concerned. No Mens clothes , Not really any Home Goods , as big as Brenham is It really does not offer much for people .
