SUBHUB COMPLETES SECOND ROUND OF COVID-19 VACCINATIONS; NO WORD ON NEXT VACCINE SHIPMENT

The Regional Vaccination subHUB completed the drive-thru for an additional 2,000 vaccines on Tuesday.  Approximately 4,000 people will have received the first dose of the vaccine by the end of the week.  The subHUB has not received any information on additional vaccine allocations at this time.

According to a joint press release from the City of Brenham and Washington County, an automated message was sent via text and phone call this (Wednesday) morning to those that remain on the registration callback list.  City and county officials are asking for those that received a call to follow the instructions provided, or to disregard it if they have already received their first vaccine.

Registration is currently closed, and will reopen when all those on the current callback list—dating to Monday, January 18th—have received a vaccination.  Callbacks are being made in the order they were received to the call center on that day.  If additional vaccines are allocated to the subHUB, callbacks will occur accordingly.

Three attempts are made to reach callers.  For those who miss the first call, the database places their phone number in the 50th place in line.  If they miss the second attempted call, their number is placed in the 100th place in line.  After three unsuccessful attempts, the number will be dropped from the registration list.

Callers who are on the callback list and have not received a callback may have their number further than 2,000 people on the list.  Since 2,000 vaccines are received at a time, then 2,000 people are being notified and scheduled for appointments.

The second vaccine dose will be administered approximately 28 days after the first dose.  At the time of registration, many were provided a date and time for their second appointment; however, an automated message will be sent out via text and phone call, as the date approaches, to everyone getting the second dose.
